Zheng, Caitong: Commemorating the 22nd Anniversary of June 4th Event in 1989

In 1989, when the June 4th event happened, many people had experienced this thrilling process of Chinese military’s suppression. There are also many precious pictures and video materials left. It has passed 22 years, but any conscious people would not agree this violent action as long as they see the documentary of this event.
In the early morning of June 4th, tanks and armored vehicles from the Chinese military entered Tiananmen Square. So many young people lost their lives under the shooting. Tanks have not only killed people’s lives, they have also killed China’s hope of democracy. Since after this event, China becomes further and further away to the road of democracy.
Over the 22 years, some people has already forget the trauma brought by this event; some people are reluctant to mention June 4th event. Today, the debauchery of modern life is stimulating every government official, making them walk toward corruption. Thus China moves toward moral decay. This is China’s tragedy that it has no democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law.
