Wang, Cong: Commemorate June 4th Event and Pursue Democracy and Freedom

Today, we once again commemorate the June 4th massacre, so that people can once again face the truth, to see how the then Chinese government mobilizes the armed forces, and the bloody images of Chinese Communist party used violent means to punish and kill students and citizens demanding for anti-corruption. June 4th, this historic event has passed 24 years, the reason we commemorate it is to make the Chinese people do not stop its step in pursuing of democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law.
24 years has passed, we are still fighting for their freedom and the freedom of the whole China. Only more Chinese get involved in and participate in the construction of China’s democracy, can China become a free and democratic China. Our generation should not only see clearly of the historical truth, we should also see the significant meaning of implementing freedom and democracy in China.
China has a five thousand-year history, and has experienced numerous sufferings, but its desire for freedom has never changed. In today’s modern society, freedom is still an eternal human core value. Facts have proved that a society without freedom will eventually be replaced by a free and democratic society. Let us work together to commemorate the June 4th massacre, and take the courage to pursue the value of freedom, then a free and democratic China would be established soon.
