Lu, Huimin: Constrain and Supervise Power is Good for Anti-corruption
卢慧敏(Lu,Huimin)
Today’s Chinese government officials are all involved in corruption. If vigorously against corruption, a large number of officials and dignitaries will inevitably be involved. Some government officials use all kinds of ways to be corrupt; they can become extremely greedy officials in just few months. We cannot say that all the government officials want to be corrupt in the beginning; actually they want to be good officials that time. However, while using power, government officials find that their power is not restricted to the law, and can also get away from people’s monitor; some government officials cannot resist the temptation of money and materials, and become very greedy.
Then what kind of method can effectively stop government officials from being so corrupt? A good and reasonable social system is the fundamental condition for anti-corruption. If the social system in China would allow two or more parties to take turn in power, and achieve the separation of legislative, administrative, judicial powers, then government officials’ power can be restricted by the law, and they would be monitored while using the power. Then each party can restrict to each other’s interest, and there would be a balance. Government and government officials should ensure the nation and people’s interest while using the power, and prevent corruption from system.
