Lu, Huimin: An Elected Government must be Established in China
卢慧敏(Lu,Huimin)
Every year in March, the Chinese government would convene two conferences, Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and National People's Congress (NPC). The representatives attend these two meetings are not choose by the ordinary people, they are appointed by the government officials, since the Chinese people do not have right to vote at present.
China has to learn America's democratic electoral system. In America, every citizen has the right and obligation to participate in voting. All the government officials, including alderman in each city, mayor, state legislators, governors, congress members and president, are elected by American citizen’s votes. The number of votes decides people’s title.
We call upon the Chinese government to implement a democratic electoral system, letting people to elect government, and letting people to elect government officials, which means whether to promote government officials are decided by votes. Then, all the government officials would under people’s monitor, and return people’s rights back to people. Only in such a condition, can the Chinese society have peace and prosperity.
