Sun, Wei: An Elected Government must be Established in China
孙薇(Sun,Wei)
Chinese society does not really have democratic election. The government has played words for a long time. The democraticelection they proposed is just a lie deceiving the public. All kinds elections in each year are controlled by the government, and candidates are chosen by government officials, which means the so-called openly democratic election is just a form, showing people.
Establishing democratic election is a mean to promote freedom and democracy, and implement rule of law. Democratic election is based on election which is open and transparent. The meaning of this is to educate Chinese people and promote Chinese society change toward the direction of democracy. The Chinese government would never give up its dictatorship, and would not easily implement openly election; the government officials’ power would not be neither restricted nor monitored by the public.
Democratic election is built on the base of openness, fairness and peace. It is a process that all citizens are involved and use their rights given by constitution. This process can let the public elect government and government officials by themselves. Therefore, it fits the public’s interest to implement democratic election in China. Only through democratic election, can a democratically elected government be established, can people fully fulfill their basic rights as citizens.
