For a long time,the Chinese government advocates the development of economy, which resulting serious environmental pollution. The environmental pollution has caused direct damage and far-reaching impact on China＇s ecological balance. Today, the expansion of desertification phenomenon in many places is very serious. Large areas of forests have been destroyed, adding to the Earth＇s greenhouse effect;the atmospheric ozone layer also been destroyed, causing acid rain phenomenon in large areas.From these, we can see that environmental pollution has caused great harms to the human society.
Environmental pollution directly affects the quality of human life, health and production activities. Such as: Air pollution makes people’s sick rate higher; pollution makes water quality degradation, threatening to human health and so on. Serious environmental pollution incident does not only bring health problems to human beings, but also have caused social problems.
With the global economic integration, environmental pollution is gaining national attention. We call on the Chinese government to protect environment while developing economy. I hope China can increase investment in environmental protection, strengthen environmental law enforcement, and make contribution to protect the environment.
