Wu, Lixia: China’s “eight thousand nine hundred sixty-four” movement should get a fair evaluation
吴丽霞(Wu, Lixia)
Today is the Chinese "eight thousand nine hundred sixty-four" Movement Day, on this occasion, I would like to write an article on the history of China to commemorate this very important day. This day is also the most sensitive to the Chinese government and on high alert day.
1989 spring and summer, China's university students took to the streets in many cities, people chanted: "hit profiteering eliminate corruption" and other slogans, massive, also moved and evokes the others, a large number of Staff members of the public also joined the parade.
People hate profiteering and corruption, because they improper means illegal occupation of reform and opening results. In fact, both are students or members of the public, their actions are justified.
But on June 4, in the capital, Beijing, Tiananmen Square, the Chinese Government has mobilized large numbers of troops deployed tanks suppressed the movement, resulting in many casualties, students and the public. Action demonstrations in other cities have also been the CCP's crackdown. The Chinese government's brutal crackdown on the Chinese people to the heart causing serious injury; some of the student movement leader or detained or exiled.
Twenty years later, corrupt unprecedented corruption rampant in China, small Village, large Politburo member, they ranging from several million to more than several billion; reform results people get minimal, there are still many ordinary people eating difficult, housing difficulties, raising a family difficult, difficult medical care for their children to school even harder.
Numerous facts have proved: 1989 spring and summer student movement's aim is correct. But the Chinese government did not dare to face the reality, unwilling to correct the mistake, people are very chilling. In the "eight thousand nine hundred sixty-four" on the occasion of the anniversary, I once again call on the Chinese government to "eight thousand nine hundred sixty-four" movement a fair evaluation.
