China's food safety problems have been from rice, eggs to milk, liquor, almost all food types there are different levels of food safety problems, large and small, China's food safety incidents is no longer a question of a region, and throughout the whole of China when food safety incidents have occurred, the severity of food safety incidents can be seen.
Contaminated Chinese agricultural cultivation has led to food industry "deficiencies." Planting and cultivation of agricultural products is the first step in the food chain, if the source is contaminated, then the subsequent food production and processing can not be guaranteed. Yuan Xiaomei, deputy director of the China National Food Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, said in an interview once, resulting in unsanitary food source of pollution in the planting, cultivation aspects.
Mainly for agricultural products abuse of prohibited pesticides, veterinary drugs, illegal to add non-food substances and harmful additives, residues exceeding the outstanding issues and so on. Secondly, environmental pollution has seriously affected the purity of agricultural products.
Currently, China 1200 rivers, 850 have been subject to different degrees of pollution, eutrophication problems exist in varying degrees over 130 lakes and coastal regions, livestock and poultry industry, including severe environmental pollution caused by animal disease and zoonotic biological hazards suffering from diseases such as increasingly prominent.
The Chinese government has the obligation and responsibility to solve China's food safety problems.
