Liu, Zhemu: Chinese urban air pollution is worsening
刘哲木(Liu, Zhemu)
Chinese urban air quality has attracted worldwide attention, although the CCP claims to have taken measures to control pollution, but the extent of the city of fog and haze continued unabated.
According to the report of international environmental organizations, many Chinese cities over the perennial dust enveloped the air, turbidity index is much higher than the average level in the world, pollution, mainly from coal power generation, vehicle exhaust, coal burning, and residential heating oil.
The report cites China's official data indicate that urban air pollution in China killed at least 50 people were killed each year.
Report recommends that governments at all levels should reduce the number of Chinese coal power plants, the development of wind power and solar energy water.
Encourage companies to reduce the use of coal plants, switch to clean energy. Reducing the cities of motor vehicles, promoting the use of public transport, promotion of urban central heating, and should increase the penalties for polluting enterprises, and resolutely shut polluting manufacturers.
Although the CPC expressed willingness to solve the problem of urban air pollution, and published many policy provisions, but many local governments for economic reasons, not seriously implement environmental policies, more reluctant to shut down polluting enterprises to create profits.
In tacit connivance of the Chinese government at all levels, a lot of factories and enterprises for air environmental regulations are often ignored, fines up to the intersection, so the air pollution will continue, in order to completely control China's urban haze problem, we must start from the system.
