NGO that does not belong to any government, organization is not established by any State agency, usually non-profit organizations, primarily engaged in social welfare services.
Most of the modern state, there are many non-governmental organizations, which play no government and enterprises or difficult full of features to help improve the management of public affairs, offers a variety of community services for the community play a significant role in promoting progress.
Chinese mainland in recent years, more and more diversification whole society, non-governmental organizations began to appear, and the number is increasing, the scope of activities increasingly widespread.
They include environmental organizations, civil rights groups, to take care of vulnerable groups, organizations and social welfare groups, and so on.
In particular, a number of contradictions in the relatively sharp, temporarily unable to resolve areas of government, NGO continent to play a significant role in solving many social problems long delays.
But the Chinese Communist Party has always been afraid of the people organize themselves, influence government party dictatorship, now see NGO activities have become increasingly active, the authorities began to suppress restrictions.
Recently, the government has forced the closure of various non-governmental organizations, including against hepatitis B patient groups, rural library volunteer organizations and labor rights groups, and so on.
CPC also propose legislation to crack down on those who require more in the future to criticize government policies or unfavorable image of the government＇s NGO, these phenomena indicate continent NGO entered a dark period.
