Dong, Ke: Inspiration Myanmar democracy movement
董科(Dong, Ke)
Myanmar is a small country south of the Chinese border, it had long under the rule of the military government, very brutal political repression.
But in recent years under the pressure of domestic human rights movement, the military government started democratic reforms, release of large numbers of political prisoners, relaxing control activities of political parties, to allow the holding of free elections, and pledged to election victory of democratic forces, the military government will hand over power. Before the democratic reform in Myanmar, have occurred many times the student movement took to the streets to protest the government coercion and economic crisis requires military government to step down, implementation of the national democratic politics.
At that time the Burmese army to march brazenly opened fire, resulting in many injuries death, brutal repression of the previous student movement, we can say the current democratic reforms in Myanmar bloodshed student outcomes.
Myanmar's democratic reforms but also to the Chinese brought enlightenment, human history proves once again that time is always standing on the side of justice.
Although unarmed ordinary people, while Communist dictatorship armed to the teeth, but as long as people insist on fighting and never give up, the final success sooner or later will come of democracy.
