Some provinces in China recently start pushing the policy that suspends the agriculture hukou. It seems like an improvement in Chinese hukou system but after some research, this actually does no good but harm to the farmers. They literary being strip from their livelihood due to this policy. After Xijin Ping comes to power he promised the hukou reform, Chinese people can migrant freely within China. But after the policy revealed from 20 or so provinces people find the reform just an illusion. Under the new policy, farmer no longer ties to agriculture hukou, Communist Party of China can strip farmers from their land easily. At the meantime, farmers didn’t grant the freedom to migrant freely. So all they can do is drift to the city as temporary worker work at the lowest level. As long as Chinese people can’t migrant freely in China, suspending the agriculture hukou just a mean for Communist Party of China to seize the land.
