On September 5, 2014, Zhang ，Lin, a Democrat of China, was sentenced to three years and six months by the "Bengbu People＇s Court" in Anhui for "gathering crowds to disrupt public order". Its attorney, Liu， Xiaoyuan, said that the client would appeal if he was found guilty.
China Democracy Party member Zhang， Lin has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist government for a long time, mainly because he participated in the Chinese Democratic Party, and because his daughter, Xiao Anni, was transferred from Bengbu to Hefei.
