Shao，Yixiao：The corruption of Chinese officials is very serious

With the overwhelming development by The Communist Party of China (CPC) moves on, untold CPC’s corrupt officials were arrested recently. Chinese people applauded for the overdue campaign, and the Chinese official media have also taken the opportunity to launch political propaganda for the effect of the campaign, as if the current anti-corruption campaign is silver bullet for all the corruption. Once and for all anti-corruption effect is surely the best result, in reality however, this seems too good to be true. The corruption in China’s officialdom appears to have be somewhat suppressed with the recent political campaign, but that is not the case, because the CPC’s one-party dictatorship is the root cause of the corruption of Chinese officials, until the root cause is solved, the Chinese official corruption problem will not vanish by itself. In China, many CPC officials often bribe their superior for promotion, because the CPC officials are not democratically elected, the promotion of officials is often the decide result of superior official; without the supervision of the people and the media, it is impossible for the Chinese officials not to corrupt. The corruption in China’s officials is a serious problem; only by establishing a democratic system can China fundamentally ease the corruption of officials, let the public’s freedom of speech and neutral news media to oversee officials, let the people to vote by ballot to eliminate corrupt officials, let the independent judiciary to punish corrupted officials, only in this way can the problem of corruption in Chinese officials be really solved.
