The CCP’s propaganda comes first. Facts are hardly what the CCP has to consider. In the eyes of the CCP, consolidating the regime is the most important thing.
The characteristics of the CCP’s propaganda are to report good news but not bad news. After natural and man-made disasters occur, instead of investigating the cause of the disaster, punishing officials who neglected their duties, and conscientiously summing up lessons and preventing future problems, they tout the central leadership how to pay attention to caring, the masses of the people. How to thank Dade, etc., is obviously to use the disaster to sing praises for the CCP government and officials.
For disaster relief propaganda, the CCP still follows this old routine.
An explosion occurred at a chemical plant in China, causing many casualties. However, before the cause of the accident was found out and all the victims were not properly arranged, a cultural and artistic program praising the heroic deeds of disaster relief has been publicly staged.
The CCP is good at turning funerals into happy events, turning disasters into political achievements, and the speed at which they sing praises of virtues and their strong ability to disguise faults. This is in stark contrast to the indifference and numbness of dealing with disasters where human life is at stake, and the delay and vagueness of dealing with officials who violate the law and neglect their duties.
In order to consolidate the regime, the CCP put propaganda first and handling the aftermath last. The suffering of the people is not important.
It can be seen that the actions of the CCP officials are not for the benefit of the people, but to climb up by stepping on the lives of the people.
