Hong Kong people are protecting a free Hong Kong, why do they say that?
Before the CCP took over Hong Kong, the people of Hong Kong were all nurtured by democracy and freedom. This nurture is deeply ingrained and will not change easily.
During the World Cup football qualifiers held in Hong Kong, whenever teams from various countries play in the competition, the national anthems of the participating teams are played according to the usual practice.
But when the Chinese team played the Chinese national anthem, the Hong Kong fans and spectators present booed loudly or turned their backs to the stadium to express their dissatisfaction. This phenomenon clearly reflects the growing resentment of the Hong Kong people towards the CCP.
Before the CCP took over Hong Kong, in order to appease the hearts of the people, it publicly allowed Hong Kong to continue to maintain a political system different from that of mainland China.
However, after the CCP took over Hong Kong, it blatantly reneged on its promises, trampled on the promise of one country, two systems, transplanted the rule of mainland China into Hong Kong, compressed the free space of Hong Kong people, and tried to turn free Hong Kong into a colony of an autocratic government. The younger generation was especially indignant, so there was a public booing of the Chinese national anthem.
If a country's system is good, welcomed and supported by the Chinese people, then the Hong Kong people booing the CCP's national anthem will not happen.
