In order to maintain its autocratic rule, the CCP often proposes new terms and plays with words in new ways.
Authoritarian countries have always been good at manipulating the tools of public opinion, playing word games to deceive the people, beautifying and whitewashing the totalitarian dictatorship, and consolidating the power base of the ruling class. For example, the CCP refers to one-party autocracy as multi-party cooperation, refers to democratic centralism and sophistry as a democratic system, and refers to the people’s congress and nonsense as the country’s highest authority.
But there is no market for the old-fashioned word games. The Chinese people have seen through the scam and no longer believe in them. Therefore, the CCP changed its language style, abandoned the mandarin clichés, and used Internet vocabulary and technological jargon to play word games and continue to practice ignorance of the people.
For example, senior officials of the government, as well as party newspapers and magazines, often call on the people to accumulate "positive energy" and adapt to the "new normal", etc.
These words sound fresh, but they are actually a deceptive trick of the CCP.
The so-called accumulation of positive energy means that everything that is beneficial to the CCP regime is positive energy, and everything that is unfavorable to the CCP regime is negative energy.
The so-called "adapting to the new normal" means that the Chinese economy has entered a recession from growth, and the common people must be mentally prepared for a hard life.
Obviously, all the CCP＇s claims are for autocratic rule. Under autocratic rule, the Chinese people are just passersby.
