Wang, Ting :Commemoration: “89 June. Fourth Student Movement”
王婷(Wang, Ting)
The "89 June. Fourth Student Movement" is by far the largest democratic movement in China's modern history.
The demonstrations, which were initiated by college students in Beijing's Tiananmen Square and quickly spread to all parts of the country, shocked the world with spectacular waves and lasted for more than two months, almost overthrowing the CCP's dictatorship.
After the movement was suppressed, the hard-liners within the CCP rose up, and the reform and opening-up policy stagnated.
The tentative political reforms, such as human rights, freedom, democracy and the legal system, which were gradually opened up in the 1980s, also ceased.
The Chinese authorities have also blocked information and banned people from talking about the movement in an attempt to make the people forget history completely.
However, history will not be tampered with!
The "89 June. Fourth Student Movement" is a spontaneous action of the Chinese people, and no one can shake its high status. In the future, after the success of the Chinese democracy movement, Tiananmen Square must erect a June 4 monument for future generations to remember this great movement and remember those who Democracy martyrs who died for their country. The "89 Six. Four Student Movement" will go down in history forever. . . . . .
