Liu, Funan:CCP members have become estranged
刘福男(Liu, Funan)
The Organization Department of the CCP recently issued a document requiring CCP members across the country to pay party dues on time, regardless of their position, and not be in arrears for no reason.
The document pointed out that the problem of arrears of party dues is currently very serious, and party dues that should have been paid on time, in full, and consciously have now become optional.
The amount of party dues owed, the length of time, and the number of party members involved are astonishing.
The CCP has conducted a special investigation on the collection of party dues. As a result, it was found that some cities and counties were owed party dues as high as several hundred million yuan.
In particular, many CCP members who are in arrears of party dues are leading cadres above the middle and high levels of the CCP government and state-owned enterprises. They have high salaries, but do not pay party dues in a timely manner according to regulations. It shows that the party's image and authority are gradually declining.
Although, according to the relevant provisions of the CCP constitution, all party members must pay party dues on time. If a party member does not pay party dues for 6 consecutive months, it is considered to be voluntarily leaving the party.
However, many CCP members do not take party dues seriously at all, and whether they pay or not is entirely up to their personal wishes, regardless of whether they leave the party or not. For those who cannot become officials and receive no benefits, it does not matter if they leave the party on their own.
