Xie, Feng :The CCP brutally suppresses civil rights protection activities
谢锋(Xie, Feng)
In recent years, non-governmental activities in mainland China have emerged one after another, from the early consumer rallies against counterfeit and shoddy products, to the subsequent feminist appeal against the trafficking of young girls, and the demands for education equality for poor rural children that have emerged over the years, etc., have been in mainland China Arouse the response and support of more and more people.
The organizers and participants of these non-governmental activities do not want to reform the current system, let alone subvert the CCP regime. They just hope to attract the attention of the society and the authorities, protect the vital interests of the vulnerable groups within the system, and improve the living conditions of the lower classes. .
From a political perspective, these civil activities in mainland China are not a threat to the CCP regime. It is entirely for the benefit of the common people.
However, the CCP authorities brutally suppress civil activities in the mainland just like the democratic movement, because the authorities see the social influence and mobilization potential of civil activities, as well as the anger of rights defenders, all of which may shake the CCP’s red country foundation, and even transformed into a potential force to overthrow the CCP dictatorship.
To put it bluntly, the CCP’s brutal suppression of civil rights protection activities is to maintain the CCP’s dictatorship.
