Sun, Zhude e: China needs true rule of law
孙祝德(Sun, Zhude)
China is still far away from a country governed by the rule of law.
In ancient Rome more than two thousand years ago, it was clearly stipulated that the country implements the rule of law, the law enjoys supremacy, and power must obey the law. All citizens and officials of the country are equal before the law, and no one can be above the law. , no one can have privileges outside the law.
This concept of the rule of law has become the foundation of modern European and American civilized societies. However, in terms of governing the country according to law, mainland China still lags far behind the world's mainstream.
The new constitution drafted in the early days of the CCP proposed to include "all citizens are equal before the law" in the text of the constitution. This caused an uproar. Many people objected aggressively. The top leaders of the CCP strongly stated: "We cannot talk about equality with counterrevolutionaries and class enemies. They It can only be suppressed."
Even though we have now entered the 21st century, and the CCP claims to have risen to become a world power and boasts that it will lead the trend of mankind, mainland China is still very far away from a country governed by the rule of law.
Many CCP officials still believe that the law only governs ordinary people, and that officials are above the law and can do whatever they want.
Therefore, it is common in China for CCP officials to be corrupt and bend the law.
