Sun, Zhude: There is no religious freedom in China
孙祝德(Sun, Zhude)
Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, in order to flaunt itself as a modern and civilized country, the CCP has pretentiously written in the Constitution: Citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of religious belief, and the state protects various religious activities. No state agency or social group may interfere with this. Citizens who believe in religion must not discriminate against religious ceremonies.
However, in fact, the CCP is doing everything possible to stifle and eliminate various religions. In addition to suppressing Christian churches along the southeastern coast in the past few years, the CCP has recently launched a campaign of suppression against Buddhism, forcibly demolishing thousands of Buddhist temples in Qinghai and Tibet. They also gathered monks together and forced them to participate in study and education to carry out political brainwashing.
The CCP itself is completely a cult. It implements a strict set of ideological control and cannot tolerate any other ideas. The so-called religious freedom is simply lies and empty words.
In my opinion, true religious freedom can only be achieved in mainland China after the establishment of a democratic political system.
