                                       Zhenghu Piao: the Consequences of Serious Corruption

     Nowadays, the CCP confronts a serious corruption. Where does it originate from and how does it happen? In other words, when did the serious corruption that prevails in China’s entire society emerge? Who were the initial people to cause today’s serious corruption that has swept every aspect of the society? How does this situation developed from “everyone hates corruption” become today’s dangerous and ubiquitous phenomena? What is the real reason behind this phenomena and who was the one to start and responsible for today’s situation?

     The issue of corruption is essentially the corruption of power. It is the product of the official power goes without check and limit. When corruption prevails in the higher-ranking officials, the lower-ranking officials also want to use their little power to serve themselves. Thus, the corruption from the higher to lower ranking officials threatens the existence of the country. It is the best metaphor if we use “corrosion” to describe the powerful individuals’ peculation and “rust eats steel” to describe the gradual collapse of the country under corruption. If we scrutinize the essential process of the “corrosion” and “rust eats steel” by the corrupt officials, we will realize how difficult is the task for the country’s battle against the corruption. It is possible that one day the country will collapse because of corruption. If there is no effective and right policy to alter the miserable situation, Communist China will follow Soviet Unions the same old disastrous road eventually. Until then, we can have a clear conclusion from today’s private-owned Russia and many east European countries that who will have a huge regret and harrowing and who will be happy and excited for the fact.
