Song, Zhihong: National Sovereignty Is Unequal to Human Rights
In the world, many formerly autocratic countries have already transferred their natures through people’s fighting for human rights freedom, more and more autarchies make themselves developing and mighty by walking paths of democracy and freedom, and this is the process and practice of striving for human rights surpassing sovereignty. Sovereignty surpassing human rights is the patent of autocrat and autarchic group, not the desire of people. Kings and leaders of autarchy always keep the banners of defending national sovereignty and national benefit, patriotism and nationalism, and deceive their own people. Their fundamental purpose is to maintain benefits of autarchic group, and there is no essential relation to benefits of common people.
In those years, when Chinese people were invaded and slaughtered by foreign countries, Chinese people fighting for their own human rights and benefits was indisputably correct, and at that time national sovereignty was always mixed up with human rights. Today, we should not forget that national sovereignty is unequal to human rights, and furthermore it can’t surpass human rights.
