Xing Jinqiao: In China If there’s No Democracy, There Must Be Corruption
Chinese people are enthusiastically looking for the day that democratic system established in our motherland, and they warmly welcome the early realization of a democratic China. Under a politically democratic system those corruptive officials would have no place to hide in China. Facing the more and more serious corruption in China, the voice of calling for an early establishment of a democratic system in China by the Chinese people is louder and louder. There echoes a common voice over China for quite some time: “if no democracy exists, there must be corruption in China”.
Under a politically democratic system, parties will dog-watch each other; and party and law are not affiliate one another, and the military force is nationalized, so corruptive officials will have no protection. If ever a senior official wants to protect a corruptive person subordinate to him, the open, fair and justice media will expose him under the opinion of the public, and the independent law system will start a thorough and complete investigation, no matter who that guy it is. Because in democratic system society the people surveillance the conduct of the officials, and medial will help to expose corruptive officials at whatever level, so corruption will not as rampant as it is now.
