Chen, Hongshuang: Difference between Democracy Freedom and Dictatorial Rule
“Democracy Freedom” and “Dictatorial Rule” are two contradictory political subjects. “Democracy freedom” advocates a freedom society that respects human rights, while “dictatorial rule” retains an autocratic centralization of power as the core of a slave society.
This two sharp contract ideologies lead to two different social systems: one free democratic political system; one dictatorial political system. The former emphasis on personal value in the society, allowing each and every member of the society to enjoy freedom, so as to exert their citizen right and responsibility to the most extent; while the later emphasis on someone’s personal effect, emphasis on unified idea, unified understanding, concerted conduct and concerted action, not allowing any different opinions, voices to exist. It is not difficult to see and understand from the above two different political systems that the “democracy freedom” is to turn a state social functions into a “living spring”, while “dictatorial rule” is to turn a state social functions into a “stagnant water”.
