Liu,Qiong: Comment on “Election Cheating in Hubei, Conflicts Between Police and Civilians
It is reported by VOA there were two elections for both city and town level People’s Assembly Representatives in Tianmen, Hubei Province, China. But those village people trying to stop cheating during election were threatened with violence! Is it stipulated in CCP’s policy that “People’s Reps are elected by the people”? Why those village people exposing election cheating suffered punishment? This is because of the dark autocracy by CCP which is full of violence.
On December 20, 2006 election was held for both city and town level People’s Assembly Representatives in Tianmen City and Mayang Town, Hubei Province. It is told by local people that there are more than 500 qualified voters over 18 of age, but only 20 were present at the election, much lower than the legal minimum 51% voters. Some voters filled in hundreds of the rest ballots at the request of the village carders. Is this the election system of the Chinese government? Is this the so-called “People’s Reps are elected by the people”?
It is reported that village government sent out lots of policemen to cease the villagers’ riot. A big conflict occurred when trying to get the ballots, just like a replay of “June 4 Incident!
CCP government’s dark administration can be seen from this tragic ending of the election in such a small village. Therefore, joining CDP is the wise choice! Only “Democracy” can bring about our dream freedom and full protection of our own legal rights.
