                                Zhang Xiufang: Support Chinese Farmers Human Right Actions

The purpose of Chinese farmers to go appeal is to settle their problems in a legal way. The strengthening of farmer’s purpose in their human right actions shows that they are awaking in sense of human right. They request not only their legal right, but also the social justice, including contract or agreement abiding, equal trade and legal justice, etc. When farmers feel officials with power in hand do not like or unable to help them solve their problem, when farmers feel the court verdict is not fair or purposely unjust, they will self-organized to protect their own legal right. In such cases, farmers would use their own way to distinguish right or wrong, to decide how to settle it properly, with no binding rule or regulations bearing in mind.

Farmers collective human right action is farmers protect their own legal right in a collective way, fighting any infringe conduct in reasonable and legal ways or reasonable but unlawful means. The farmers’ collective human right action is an important part of whole Chinese human right movement.
