Zhang, Xiufang: The Forming of Hatred toward the Rich in Present China
In present China society, the most frequent topic is hatred toward the rich. What is really the reason that led to the hatred toward the rich in China society? First, the rich nowadays in China mostly acquired their fortune through illegal means like manipulating market with protection from powerful officials, corruption, bribery, embezzling public fund, etc. so their fortune was not collected in a legal way, and this is the main reason people hate the rich. Secondly, most rich men are not kind, polite to others, instead, they are often bullying others in their neighborhood since they have money, and this also caused many that hate the rich. Thirdly, rich men usually live an extravagant life immorally and shamelessly, people would not like it.
The hatred idea and conduct toward the rich now exist and is expanding, directly threatening the rich circle safety and interest, and made them scary and worried. It is the rich men’s common desire and interest to constraint, crackdown, or reconcile toward hatred on them. It is rich men’s vicious and mean conduct that caused people to hate the rich.
