                                   Xie, Jimin: China Must Abolish Party-Army System

Today’s China is a country with one-party autocracy. The party still stubbornly monopolizes all powers, especially the army power. Army power can be said to be the party’s lifeline and last protection. It can be imagined army naturalization reform encounters very big resistance. It must be made clear that the army should be nationalized and party-army should be changed into national army, which should match the process of realization of national democracy and legal system. The ultimate goal is to establish a political system that contains democratic constitution and politics. Under this great goal, implementation procedures can be divided into different steps. The army should be non-political. All parties and political organization must withdraw from army and the army should not participate in domestic political struggles and must stay neutral in politics.
It is not easy for China to abolish party-army system and lead Chinese army to real political civilization and attain long peace and safety. We need to discuss deeply and research carefully. We should not be afraid to cure this problem. The root of all evils is to use the public’s nation as the party’s private standpoint.
