Feng, Guoqiang: Root of Corruption in China Is Systematic Corruption
Tyrannical hegemony that high rank CCP carders of provinces and government departments enjoy has never been shaken. Supreme power and supervision absence exposed by Cheng, Liangyu’s case prove again that corruption in China is systematic and die-hard. Different from before, the coming into being of officials’ inaugural system seems to reveal determination to combat corruption.
Historic “Heroes” who believed in communism are far more inferior than modern heroes who worship “Money”. Take for example: three Head of Traffic Department in Hunan Province were arrested one by one; Head and Deputy President of Traffic Department in Suchan Province were sentenced to life imprisonment and capitalization respectively; Heads of Traffic Departments in Hunan, Guangdong and Guangxi were removed from office due to corruption in project constructions. Cases are not limited in traffic department only. As long as CCP refuses to return the powers to the market and the people, and refuses to weaken its own absolute powers, it is absolute these cases will continue to appear.
Without absolute power of supervision or a majority people owning political rights, or a reform path that balances multiple political powers, systematic corruption is unavoidable. The cure of systematic corruption lies in system renovation, which is smashing the old world and creating a new one.
