Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Press in China
Although there is a negative impact to practice freedom of speech and freedom of press in China, it is harmful to restrict such human rights since it is not good for maintaining stable society and power monitoring.
At present, the information technology advances so fast and the Chinese government should practice speech freedom and press freedom by means of information system to fully realize the human rights of its citizens. People have the rights to know what the government is doing and/or is going to do and have the rights to express their opinions freely.
The government should listen to the voice of the people and practice majority-dominated rule.
Under the normal condition, the speech freedom and press freedom is desired by a democratic government who serves the people. It is indispensible for the democratic and law-dominated society. Therefore, it is not advisable for the Chinese government to restrict such human rights, that is, speech freedom and press freedom.
