                                  Xu, Huixian: The ridiculous Birth Control Policy in China

China birth control policy has seriously broken the demographic balance. Because one couple can only have one child, many girl babies were selectively aborted during pregnancy, causing the ratio of boy to girls being greatly deviated from nature balance. This will bring more unexpected consequence on the social stability and social ethics. During the enforcing this policy, the corruption and bribery have become more and more popular. The officials who enforce this policy steal the money from the fine paid by the family with more than one baby. They ransack or destroy all living resources including houses of those more-than-one-baby families. They even put ransom on those families by kidnapping the family members. Those families were driven from pillar to post.

It is ridiculous for government to interfere with people’s birth control. This means the administration interference has entered into the feeling life of people. This is an example of that the dictatorship deprive of the basic human rights of its people. The cruelty and violence are unprecedented during the process of enforcing this policy.
