Xu, Xiangning: Chinese Government Officials’ Power is unconstrained
There is a wide spread of the famous saying: absolute power leading to absolute corruption. Absolute power comes from the autocratic regime, the authoritarian system of power concentrated in the hands of a few, but not in the supervision and restriction; this power can do whatever they like; in Chinese society CCP officials abusing power have the opportunity for personal gains, these people can comfortably using policy for rent, rent-seeking jobs, predatory abuse their power assets. On the one hand, those in power in Chinese society by virtue of the authority to corruption, on the other hand, millions of ordinary workers are forced into poverty, lost basic protect rights of life.
Today's Chinese community, the main wealth is not concentrated in the hard-working, law-abiding operators’ hands, but rather concentrated in the hands of the holder of the autocratic privileges. Chinese serious corruption is not a result of the reforms, but the authoritarian regime. Corruption has led to China's serious social inequality.
