Zhu, Yamin: Democratic Political System can Protect People’s Freedom and Human Right

Before 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the problem is discussed mostly is Chinese human right problem. Nowadays Chinese human right situation is not good. One puzzling problem is why Chinese citizen basic human right situation still have not been improved after China many years of economy reform and open policy. The reason is that China’s economy reform has never pay attention to improve of human right situation.
Every class officials of CCP government have never been produced by direct and free election. They are all assigned by CCP leaders. Chinese citizen have no rights for free election. This leads Chinese citizen’s political rights are not suitable to the stand of international human right. CCP government can’t set up the political system to respect human rights and the lawful system to protect human rights. In this condition, Chinese people have no freedom of speech, religion and organization. This is the main reason that Chinese human right situation can’t be improved for long.
How a country treats its people on human right problem is a bright stand. We can know if the political system fit people’s eager for basic human right. If the political system in this country is democratic, this government can protect people’s freedom and human right.
