Gong, Ming: Why do too few Chinese people Participate in and Comment Politics
Chinese unreasonable social system makes Chinese people inclined to be opportunistic, quarrel with each other and lack the ability to cooperate fairly. People in western countries are very interested in democratic politics and like participate in politics. For example, they don’t only take it serious to elect the senators, especially the president, and also it is one of representations that they participate in politics.
As far as we know, people living in Chinese society who participate in and comment politics are very few, and people who participate in democracy campaign are even less. It is not that Chinese people aren’t willing to participate. It is that Chinese autocratic government doesn’t allow people to participate in politics.
Chinese society must implement the revolution on democratic politics. As long as Chinese society implement the revolution on democratic politics, corrupt officials will get restrained and
disappear. At the same time, Chinese government must gradually release freedom of speech, emancipate mind, encourage people to participate in politics, reconsider and consciously reform bad habits of autocratic regime to promote Chinese society to develop from inhumanity to civilization. Chinese society will be reformed into a democratic, free and nomocratic society.
