In Chinese society, as long as people become government officials, they have power in their hands, and they can trade power for money and extort by trick or by force. Corruption has been a means for Chinese communist officials to become rich. Chinese communist government realized the great negative result of corruption, and realized that serious corruption affects social stability and people’s working and living, and makes people to fight to defend human rights.
The reason of corruption is very simple, as corruption originates from autocratic regime. The officials under autocratic regime have unrestrained power that surpasses law. Officials have power and conditions to corrupt. People can’t stop but get angry with no comment. Ordinary people don’t have power and condition to corrupt. Some people learn to corrupt from corrupt officials. China became a corrupt country with long time. This is the serious origin of corruption in Chinese society. Therefore, Officials’ power must be restrained to prevent corruption. And democratic regime must be realized to restrain officials’ power.
