Xu, Daguang: Corrupt Regime is the Fundamental Cause of Corruption Spreading
After grabbing power over China, Chinese communist regime executed one-party autocratic regime which caused the power of officials at different levels to surpass law restraint for a long time. The unlimitedly expanding power is the main reason for officials’ corruption. Present China has become a country where everybody participates in corruption.
Chinese government realized that the serious corruption is out of control, so governments at all levels started the unprecedented anti-corruption actions. So far, anti-corruption has been a great matter. Chinese government has taken a lot of anti-corruption measures, but corruption hasn’t been restrained effectively.
Today, Chinese officials continue corrupting the money paid by tax payer, and they continue enjoying their extravagant lives. Chinese government constantly launches many anti-corruption measures and establishes new anti-corruption laws. They try to restrain corruption from spreading, but anti-corruption result gets worse and worse. The real origin of corruption is that democracy hasn’t realized in Chinese society. So it is a completely society ruled by human. If corrupt autocracy is changed to restraint corruption, anti-corruption result can’t be achieved.
