Lu, Yupeng: Corruption is shaking the status of Chinese Communist one-party regime
Though there are many serious problems of corruption in Chinese society, Chinese economy is developing, the economic environment is relatively stable and investors’ enthusiasm is still going on. However, all of these do not mean that the currently Chinese system can solve those increasingly serious social problems which are resulted from severe corruption unlimitedly.
The reason why Chinese corruption is more and more serious is that Chinese Communist government still interfere with economic business by every possible means after many years of economic reform so that law enforcement is lack of power, government is short of the willingness for democratic freedom innovation. Hence, corruption has become the most difficult problem for Chinese government.
Democratic innovation must be implemented for solving corruption, but problem of corruption that Chinese Communist worried about will shake the status of its one-party regime. In spite of Chinese Communist officials emphasizes repeatedly that officials’ corruption will result in an end of party and country; and it also carried out many anti-corruption movement, but the serious extent of corruption is getting fierce, the level of those officials is getting higher and higher. At last, the corrupt problem is found the structural defects inside Chinese Communist Party and the existing system.
If those in power still adopt these self-deluding traditional ways to protest against corruption instead of not resolving problem from system and not setting up anti-corruption strategy originally, the corrupt problem in Chinese society will finally getting more and more serious.
