Lu, Yupeng: Protecting environment is the responsibility for Chinese government
We have only one earth, which is human-beings’ common home, protecting environment is responsibility for each of our human who live in this earth. Every day we hope to breathe fresh air, drink pure water and have green vegetables and fruits. However, many countries and governments developed variety industries for economic profits which result in regional pollution is getting worse and worse. China is a typical representation.
Over years of Chinese economy developing with a high speed, what’s coming up is environmental pollution and damage of ecological environment. The environmental pollution has come to a severe extent, especially to the developed region; odors are pervading in the air, and many kinds of poisonous chemical material are contained in water, remnants from pesticides are also in vegetables and fruits, etc. People feel that pollution is ubiquitous.
Because autarchic Chinese government with one-party regime advocates developing economy for the primary goal by sacrificing environment to develop economy, there are no exact measures to solve the problem. These actions of Chinese government have caused serious concern from International environmental organizations. International society identically agreed that protecting environment is what Chinese government should do well while developing economy.
