Zhao, Yinglan: Birth control is an off-limits area for Chinese media reports
Since Chinese Communist reform and opening-up, the birth control is considered as an unshakable national policy to Chinese Communist government. From 1980s, Chinese Communist authorities have implemented massive and severe “Birth control movement”, which brought nationwide birth control into an unprecedented enforcement situation.
Since Chinese Communist government has seriously violated natural laws on population problem which brought about great changes in Chinese population trend: First, the rate of birth in developed cities is coming down. The problem of aging has appeared, the economy is hard to develop and the social burden for the aged is heavy; second, employment pressure of young adults is increasing, a few areas’ population control is abnormal, which caused genders of newborn babies are imbalanced significantly; third, department of birth control do not act by operation of law, but adopt violence, use barbaric measures of robbing and extorting, destroy buildings, walls, dismantle doors, remove furniture to farmers who exceed the stipulated limit of birth-control policy, and take away everything valuable.
All of these prove that Chinese Communist government use violence and encroach on people’s human rights. Therefore, government doesn’t allow any media report negative aspects to birth-control, which makes it becomes an off-limits area for media reports.
