Zhao, Yongshun: The fundamental difference on human rights freedom between one-party regime and constitutional democracy
It can be seen from the surface that a country system with one-party regime is sound, and also has its constitution and justice supervision. But indeed, this kind of country machine is dominated by one-party regime.
With the criterion of Jiang Dynasty in the time of country rule and with the standard of Mao, Zedong personal awareness in his time, “those who submit will prosper those who resist shall perish” is their guidelines; In Deng Xiaoping era, the interest of “partial wealthy” is important; As to Jiang Zemin era, he squashes different believers, including petitioners had no place to appeal which occurred constantly in every corner of the country in recent years, and the confrontation with government, even squelch with army. Why don’t these undemocratic phenomena happen in constitutional and democratic country, such as America? That is because law cannot be used by the in party only.
All are equal in the eyes of law. It is not just a slogan but has its practical meaning: constraint and supervision of both the ins and the outs, and completely independent of judicature. Only under such circumstances can people have real human rights, freedom and well-being livelihood security.
