Pan, Yang: The essence of corruption is power corruption
The problem of Chinese corruption has become concerns of the whole society. Chinese government realized that negative effects on corruption were tremendous, and it also influenced social stability and people’s work and lives. The reason is that the corruption springs from autarchy; since the government and its officials under such dictatorship have limitless power which is not restrained and outdistance law and the interests of people, and the government emphasizes that CCP control everything. This is the root of corruption.
Some people say that China is national corruption. Though it is somewhat jaundiced, it still has its reason; what’s have to indicate is not everyone wants to corrupt. Government officials have rights and conditions to corrupt while people have no ways to stop them, people have not guts to speak out; common people have no rights in their hands, let alone power to do that, some people then study how to corrupt and China becomes a major corrupt country with time goes by.
If CCP government really wants to make up its mind to punish corruption, it should restrain power, since the essence of corruption is power corruption which stems from autarchy.
