Bai, Huashun: Opening up freedom of speech is already urgently needed
Chinese constitution has clearly regulated that people own their right of freedom of speech; however, people’s freedom of speech is just in words, CCP government doesn’t allow people to express their opinions; in reality, if someone wants to express his/her opinion, one must realize it through speech, if a government doesn’t let his people to speak out, then it proves out that people in this country have no right to speak. CCP government is extremely strict to different so-called voices which will endanger social stability and government reputation.
It is actually an artificial constitution though it is stipulated that Chinese people have right of freedom of speech. Every Chinese people has his/her freedom of speech, and they have right to release any views, authorities cannot intervene with them. Opening up freedom of speech thoroughly is urgently needed in Chinese society.
