Wang, Wei: Give freedom of speech right back to Chinese people
A society with freedom of speech is a harmonious society, which can guarantee people’s freedom of speech and endow people with space for freedom of speech. Nowadays, Chinese society is lack of a lenient space for freedom of speech. Chinese citizen have no right to speak freely since CCP government is a government of not respecting human rights; rulers of this government can do what they want, they don’t allow people to have freedom of speech and to comment on government, even not allow people to criticize government and its’ officials.
In a formal democratic society, everyone has freedom of speech while constitution also endows people with right of freedom of speech, which is in favor of promoting respect, fairness and freedom. Over sixty years, CCP always insists one-party plenary power while people live in the surroundings of violence and deceits, they cannot speak out differently. Once someone stick on the truth and their bottom line of behaving to express their speech will be defined as “destroy social stability” and be punished by “guilt of endangering country security”.
We CDP democrats strongly appeal to open up freedom of speech in Chinese society and require CCP government to give right of freedom of speech back to people.
