Wang, Xiaodong: CCP government cannot deprive people’s freedom of speech
Nowadays, there isn’t any freedom of speech in Chinese society which is decided by Chinese system. CCP began to exercise dictatorship after it got Chinese regime; under such autocracy, society is lack of the environment of freedom of speech, people cannot express their own opinions, and they are not allowed to release things which are negative to government; otherwise, government will threaten and intimidate them with violence.
Over a long period of time, people must follow what media says which is controlled by CCP government. Some people with democratic thoughts have paid heavy price for what they had done to break down the restriction of CCP on freedom of speech to fight for it.
People must own the right of freedom of speech, since it is the basic human rights for anyone, CCP government can’t deprive people’s freedom of speech. The priority job for Chinese people to solve the problem of freedom of speech is to promote democratic system reform; and only under such a democratic free system, people can be ensured to have an environment of freedom of speech.
