Liu, Min: Chinese people need freedom of speech
It is natural to say the truth in a society, however, in the sixty years of CCP controlling China, Chinese society has no freedom of speech, everything is counted on the government; people cannot express their own opinions to government and its officials, and also can’t criticize the corruption and inability of governmental officials. As a result, it is difficult for Chinese people to speak out the truth.
In the democratic movement of 1989, there were thousands of Chinese people came to the street to shout the slogan of punishing corruption and requiring democracy, people speak out from the bottom of their heart. CCP was scared by this and it pressed the large-scale democratic movement with cruel violence, which resulted in June 4 incident.
Chinese people have already realized that they are awareness of the treasure to struggle for democracy, freedom, human rights and ruled by law; and they have cognizance of to fight for freedom of speech, and speak out the truth by standing up to fight against CCP autocracy. Then there will be hope for their life and Chinese society.
