Luo, Weiming: Chinese government should accept Chinese people’s suggestion on human rights

The United Nation Human Rights Committee has proposed over a hundred suggestions on promoting Chinese human rights. Nearly half of those suggestions are rejected by Chinese government, including abolishing death sentence, adding media freedom and justice independence. The International Organization of Human Rights pointed out that Chinese government’s rejection of accepting these basic human rights indicated the Chinese government didn’t plan to promote human rights.
In the current Chinese system, promoting human rights is just talk. In recent years, Chinese human right is getting worse than before: people have no freedom of speech, the justice is not independent, and people are often persecuted by posing different political view and religious belief. Chinese government should accept the international society’s suggestion on Chinese human rights. Stop persecuting and release all the imprisoned human rights defenders, dissidents and religious people to truly promote Chinese human rights.
