Zhang, Yu: Chinese society should open up freedom of speech

A society should own its freedom of reporting news, and some other relative media can report the truth objectively for people have the right to know. A government cannot monopolize mass media and the freedom of reporting news. Only by exercising that, people’s thoughts and speech can be expressed and be granted freedom of speech.
People from country with freedom of speech must be true to society. If people’s views are restrained, then they don’t dare to speak out the truth freely. How can that society be with honesty? In Chinese society, what can you say about its system when the cameras facing at you? You could only say something that compliment the government which disobey your conscience. Hence, open up freedom of speech is a must to establish an honest society.
