Zhiqiang Song: Only practicing democracy can improve human rights

The basic feature of a democratic country is that anybody possesses the basic human rights. The general public is allowed to participate in government’s political and executive works. Autocratic country usually practices the method of “man regulates man” to manage the society. The basic characteristic of “man regulates man” is that the government uses violence chronically. A violent society is impossible of being capable to guarantee its populace’s basic human rights.

In today’s China society, the general public had been persecuted chronically. This government can arbitrarily obtain, beat and even kill its people. The basic human rights are being completely deprived.

To improve human rights for its masses is China government’s undeniable responsibility, and is a work that China government must do well; allowing Chinese people to possess human rights fully, the government must first give up violence, abolish vary persecution policies; and then, execute democratic political reformation, and create a friendly environment for improving human rights.
